Well, bingo was a straight forward game, till they decided to add a cow to it. Who ever said that dairy farmers of Geneva, Illinois don’t have an imagination? Now they have proven everyone wrong with their crazy idea of using cow’s poop as markers for a game of bingo during the Annual Autumn Fair this September. This game of bingo was aptly titled Cow Chip Bingo.

The Annual Autumn Fair was to raise funds for the Geneva Park District Foundation. As for the bingo game with special markers, six chip makers (cows) were allowed to roam the field which was marked with 100 large squares and whichever square that was lucky enough to receive a chip from the cows were the winning squares. Players were allowed to purchase the squares that they liked for a price of 5 dollars each. The money raised using the game was equally split between the foundation and the gamblers. If you are thinking that one hundred squares is a little too much for six cows, then that is when the occasional Frisbee was tossed by a child or a senior citizen and the square that it came to rest upon was considered as the winning square.

Wondering what the cows got out of this game of bingo? Well, a great meal of fresh grass of course.
